The  Throat (Vishuddha) Chakra is the 5th chakra according to the Vedic traditions. It connects the heart and the mind, it’s the bridge to the higher chakras. When energy flows freely, a person is able to communicate one’s desires, ideas, and love. 

The throat chakra plays an essential role in communication. It’s responsible for the expression of thoughts, feelings, ideas, and a balance between speaking and listening. It is about expressing truth, showing social skills and personal integrity.

Vishuddha chakra is known as the purification center. It’s associated with higher discrimination. When this chakra is “open,” negative experiences are transformed into wisdom and learning. It’s believed that success in life depends on the condition of this chakra, whether it’s open or closed, pure or polluted.
